Day 1:

Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha.

Take the rest of the day to relax, explore the city, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2:

Start of Kilimanjaro Trek - Machame Route

Your trek begins as you enter Kilimanjaro National Park and hike through the dense rainforest to Machame Camp.

The trail is scenic, with a rich variety of flora and fauna, offering an exciting start to your climb.

DAY 3:

Trek to Shira Camp

As you leave the rainforest behind, the landscape transitions to moorland. Trek across open ridges with breathtaking views, eventually reaching Shira Camp at 3,840m.

DAY 4:

Trek to Barranco Camp Via Lava Tower

A challenging but rewarding day! Ascend to the Lava Tower (4,600m) before descending to Barranco Camp (3,950m). This helps with acclimatization, making the summit attempt easier.

DAY 5:

Barranco Wall and Karanga Camp

Climb the impressive Barranco Wall, a thrilling but manageable section.

Then, trek to Karanga Camp, offering stunning views of the glaciers above.

DAY 6:

Trek to Barafu Camp

The trail becomes rockier as you ascend to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the final summit push.

Get an early rest because the toughest part of the trek begins at midnight!

DAY 7:

Summit Uhuru Peak and Descend to Mweka Camp

Start your summit push before dawn, reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m) at sunrise-the highest point in Africa!

After celebrating at the top, descend to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.

DAY 8:

Descend and Transfer to Arusha

Complete your descent through lush forests to Mweka Gate, where you'll receive a summit certificate.

After a short celebration, transfer back to Arusha for a relaxed evening.

DAY 9:

Drive to Serengeti NP Via Ngorongoro

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you might spot wildlife along the way.


Arrive in Serengeti National Park in time for an afternoon game drive, witnessing lions, elephants, and other wildlife.

DAY 10:

Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti

A full day exploring Serengeti's vast plains, following the Great Migration (season-dependent) and spotting the Big Five.

Visit prime locations like the Seronera Valley or Moru Kopjes, where big cats often rest.

DAY 11:

Morning Safari and Transfer to Zanzibar

Enjoy a morning game drive before your flight to Zanzibar.

DAY 12:

Explore Stone Town & Spice Tour

What you need to know

Preparation for Hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro

1. Physical Fitness

• Train with cardio (running, cycling, swimming).

• Practice long hikes (6-8 hours) with a backpack.

• Work on endurance and strength for legs and core.

2. Gear & Equipment

• Hiking boots (broken in).

• Thermal layers, waterproof jacket, down jacket.

• Sleeping bag (rated for -10°C or lower).

• Daypack + duffel bag (porters carry duffel).

• Trekking poles, headlamp, water bottles/hydration pack.)

• Gloves, hats (sun + warm), sunglasses.

• Personal medical kit (painkillers, altitude tablets if prescribed, blister care).

3. Insurance

• Travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking (up to 6,000m) and medical evacuation.

4. Travel Documents

• Passport (valid for at least 6 months from entry, with 2+ blank pages).

• Visa for Tanzania (can be obtained online e-visa or on arrival; ~$50, US citizens $100 multiple-entry).

• Return/onward flight ticket (sometimes asked at entry).

• Yellow Fever certificate (only required if arriving from/through a yellow fever endemic country).

5. Vaccinations & Health

6. Tanzania & Zanzibar Specifics

• Currency: Tanzanian Shilling (USD also widely accepted). Carry small bills for tips/market purchases.

• Cultural respect: Zanzibar is predominantly Muslim, advise modest clothing in Stone Town & villages.

• The final April balance allows us to settle all contracts with hotels, transport providers, and safari lodges ahead of your arrival, ensuring that your trip is fully prepaid and confirmed before departure.
